HUMANETICS ACHIEVES TL 9000 QUALITY SYSTEM REGISTRATION
Dallas, Texas - Humanetics II, Ltd., a leading metal fabrication company, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed registration for TL 9000 Release 3.0/3.5 certification at its headquarter site in Carrollton, Texas.
The TL 9000 Quality Management System (QMS) was created by the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum to meet the quality requirements of the global telecommunications industry. It uses ISO 9000 as a foundation, but goes a step further to include sector specific requirements and metrics.
The TL 9000 audit was conducted by BVQI, an independent certification body of Bureau Veritas, from September 13 through September 17, 2004, against the TL 9000 H R3.0/R3.5 Standard, the Humanetics Quality Manual, and the company's supporting quality management system documentations.
Wayne R. Wayman, Lead Auditor from BVQI, said the documented quality management system is really good and appears to be effective. "It is apparent that a considerable amount of effort has been devoted to the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system."
According to Wayman, the audit yields observations that provide evidence of Humanetics' commitment to the maintenance of an effective and efficient quality management system.
Humanetics has established facilities in various locations around the world, including Carrollton, Austin and McAllen, Texas, as well as Wuxi, China. The audit involves only the Carrollton site, but the company is actively seeking TL 9000 certification at the other three sites, which is expected to be accomplished by Q3 2005.
"Humanetics has many customers in the telecommunications industry. Since the TL 9000 specification deals primarily with quality procedures and systems as they relate to the telecommunications industry, our recent certification should allow us to better serve our partners in this industry," said Barrett Jenkins, senior vice president at Humanetics.
"We are excited about the prospects this certification will bring to our company, and will, as always, continue to listen and respond to the needs of our customers," Jenkins added.
For over 30 years, Humanetics has ridden the crest of the technology revolution by innovatively manufacturing hardware for an extremely diverse group of industries, including cellular, telecom, semiconductor, defense, computer, and many others. The company pledges to manufacture quality products that exceed customers' expectations by continuously striving for improvement and total customer satisfaction.
